There are four levels of difficulty that appeal to all interests and ability levels. The trail rides last anywhere from one to three hours. You’ll mount a horse handpicked for you based on size, ability, and temperament.  Or head out on a full day picnic ride and explore 30,000 pristine mountain acres. Trail options include the remote and historic Sanger Ranch, with views of the mountains, creek, rocky outcroppings, and more. Stop mid-ride at a scenic lookout for a delicious lunch in nature. Saddle back up for a variety of optional adventures such as water crossings, shed (antler) hunting, and more.

Riders of all experience levels can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime cattle drive. Take in the gorgeous scenery as you ride across the storied land, driving cattle through the Ranch’s various terrain. Our wranglers will help you get outfitted at our activities barn, finding boots, helmets, or hats for your adventure.

At Brush Creek, inclusive really does mean inclusive. With the exception of spa treatments, you will not have to put your hand in your pocket once during your stay. There is a minimum 3 night stay (not enough!) except in the high season summer months when you have to stay at least 4 nights with your arrival on a Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Food is very important at Brush Creek and there are several ways to enjoy it. Chef Drew Anderson says “My culinary vision is quite simple, “I want to stay true to the ingredients. I want our guests to experience as much of the local food from the Mountain West region as possible and for those ingredients to be fresh, seasonal and cooked perfectly. In the end I want our food to be approachable and at the same time, I want to give our guests the opportunity to try something they wouldn’t otherwise try at home.” You can dine quite formally (if a ranch can ever be really formal) in the Trailhead Lodge or more casually in the Chuckwagon or Saloon. For some of our guests the Creekside Dinner Camp is the most memorable being a mix of al fresco and fine dining.

Brush Creek Ranch offers an unbeatable array of adventures; all are tailored to your level of experience, can be tailored from complete novice to expert, and are led by an expert guide. Included is fly-fishing on miles of Brush Creek that travels directly through the ranch and has some of the best freestone trout fishing in the world plus several secluded fishing ponds perfect for beginners; guided hiking and superb biking trails; woodland high-ropes and zip-lining; mountain-side team paint balling for all the family; horseback riding on beautiful quarter horses and paints with experienced wranglers; as well the gun 10-station sporting clays course, 5-station skeet course and competition archery. You are also welcome to try activities off-menu, like adventurous horseback riding programmes from rodeo barrel racing and cattle round-ups, premium fly fishing on the North Platte on their new 15,000 acre Sanger Ranch, the autumn brings pheasant, grouse and partridge shooting (from August onwards).

Children are brilliantly looked after: the Lil’ Wrangler programme caters for 4-9 year olds includes kid-friendly dude ranch activities such as trail adventures, ecological exploration, riding led by professional and highly qualified counsellors and guides. Older children can join in the adult activities or have some especially tailored to their needs.

The Trailhead Spa is meant to renew your sense of well-being and provide total a total relaxation and wellness experience to complement your stay at the Ranch. Incorporating traditions of the American West and indigenous ingredients, every spa experience is uniquely Western and tailored specifically to your needs and preferences. A full range of massage, skin and salon services are available for an extra charge. The saunas and steam rooms, an outdoor hot tub, and state-of-the-art fitness centre are included in your stay as is the yoga programme offering you the chance to practice outdoors with majestic views of the Sierra Madre mountains serving as a relaxing backdrop.
