As a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux you know you are in for a treat if you stay at Planters Inn, and the hotel does not disappoint. In the middle of Charleston’s historic district, the 64-room Planters Inn is housed in a beautifully restored 1844 building. The building was originally a fashionable shop but time and the 1989 Hurricane Hugo took its toll and it needed much renovation. This came along with a preservationist determined to preserve the building and create “the finest historic hotel in the South”.
The multi-award winning Planters Inn has glorious bedrooms with one or two four poster beds, complimentary wi-fi, luxury Italian linens, and marble bathrooms. A nice touch is the complimentary tea and coffee or iced tea on offer in the parlour throughout the day.
Why We Like It
Beautiful building and attention to detail
