The James Madison Inn was built in 2007 in a much older style and designed to reflect the Antebellum style and be a suitable stopping place for those travelling the Antebellum trail. It is full of paintings of local landmarks, custom built furniture made by local craftsmen using reclaimed heart pine flooring, antique doors and windows.
This boutique hotel has just 17 rooms and 2 suites each well-proportioned and elegantly appointed. One of the joys of building a new hotel is that you can incorporate all modern comforts and the James Madison has certainly done this in style.
Rooms
One of the Southās top designers was employed to create custom-made furniture and antique reproductions. King size beds are covered with the finest Egyptian cotton and down feather pillows. The rooms all have fireplaces, oversized rain showers, complimentary internet connections and best of all access to an outdoor porch furnished with sofas, ceiling fans and a library of local authors.
Why we like it
