One of Charleston’s Grandest Historic Inns, and there are a lot to choose from, the John Rutledge House Inn is the only bed and breakfast housed in the home of a signer of the US Constitution – in fact some of the drafts were written in the building. Rooms are split between the Main House and the Carriage House. They all have Tempur-Pedic mattresses, antique or reproduction period furniture, and some have fireplaces and separate sitting rooms.
