It is the perfect place to experience the wild side of Texas and explore the beautiful surroundings, whilst having first class service, fine dining and award winning wine list of a luxury resort. With this in mind, the well-appointed guest rooms and extensive list of activities make this ranch an ideal choice for all.

Wildcatter Ranch and Resort is a quick ninety-minute trot from DFW International Airport, nestled amidst the rolling hills of North Texas, offering a world away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Get your taste of cowboy culture, horse riding, great food, hiking across our three mountains, wildlife, and live music across our 1500 acre ranch.

The Ranch offers a variety of beautiful 2 bedroom guest homes, upscale cabin-suites, charming hotel rooms, and a 14,000 sq ft luxury ranch estate, all of which include special amenities to make your stay unforgettable.

The ranch does not offer airport transfers.

The accommodation provided are cabin suites or hotel rooms, the majority of which have twin queen beds, a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot with tea & coffee filters, hairdryer, bath soap, lotion, shampoo, TV, DVD player, self-adjusting central heat and air-conditioning. They have 41  accommodations, spread across the property.

Compliment your getaway with Texas cuisine from the Wildcatter Steakhouse.  The restaurant features hand-cut Mesquite grilled steaks, Chicken Fried Steak and many local favourites. The Shootout Saloon serves up all the specialty drinks to complement any meal.

There is a 3 night minimum stay and rates remain the same year round and will include breakfast and supper with a snack lunch left in your room, one ride per one full day paid, extra riding purchased locally. Alcohol is not included.  All accommodation will be in their cabin-suites.

Riding at the ranch is mostly at a walking pace, which is ideal for family groups and those with less experience; while a private ride with one of the wranglers may allow for a faster pace if desired. Being one of the main activities at the ranch, they pride their riding to be among the best available in Texas.

There are over 25 miles of trails around the ranch with incredible views of the North Texas Hill Country. There is one ride per day included in your stay and the minimum age to participate in the horse riding is 10.

The ranch are in the process of reworking the activities they offer to their guests. They do offer three mountains worth of hiking trails with great views, an infinity swimming pool, and an outdoor fitness course, clay shooting, jeep tour, archery and tomahawk.
