The Peabody is the classic hotel of Memphis. It has been the place to stay since 1869. Today it faultlessly combines old fashioned luxury, southern hospitality and modern amenities. It is noted for, amongst other things, the extraordinary water fountain where duck swim in the enormous lobby.
In London, 11 oāclock marks the Changing of the Guard, in Memphis, it is the March of the Peabody Ducks. The Lobby Bar is sometimes called āthe living room of Memphisā and certainly serves a good range of Jack Daniels and some interesting cocktails.
Rooms
The 464 rooms and suites vary in size from the Traditional Queen room with just one queen sized bed up to vast suites, some with a pretty loft bedroom. All have luxury Egyptian cotton sheets, flat screen televisions and all other accessories that you expect from a first class hotel.
