Nottoway was a magnificent 1850ās sugarcane estate. Today it is a superb hotel, member of Historic Hotels of America and the Southās largest antebellum mansion. Situated right on the Mississippi River, between Baton Rouge and New Orleans on the River Road which linked all the major plantations in their heyday.
The massive white columns and grand balconies of this enormous mansion dominate the view over the River while on the other side, you will see the glorious three-story Rotunda overlooking the oak trees and the lawn.
