Fly into Phoenix, Arizona on the direct flight from Heathrow and spend the next few days acclimatizing to the lovely dry heat and the 8 hour time difference and fabulous backdrop of the Camel back mountains in Scottsdale. You could opt to spoil yourself in one of the many luxury resorts or stay in the old town of Scottsdale. River rafting, canoeing and of course horse riding are on offer if you want to ease yourself in gently.

Schedule your trip to arrive at Elkhorn Ranch for a weeks ranching on a Sunday, we can arrange a flight between Phoenix and Tucson and the ranch will collect you from the airport or you could opt to drive yourself, or we can arrange a coach transfer for you from Phoenix. Elkhorn is only 55 miles from the Mexican border and you’ll find the décor reflects this.
Your individual daily riding is tailored to suit you with six wranglers taking out small groups so that the length of the ride and the pace suit either building confidence if you are a novice or a challenging and stimulating rides for the experienced riders. If you prefer to ride as a family or a group of friends, this can also be accommodated at Elkhorn. You’re going to have a fabulous week or two week stay at Elkhorn.

Check out is at 10 am giving you plenty of time to head back to Tucson airport and take one of the many direct flights to Los Angeles to end your holiday relaxing on the beach. You could head to Santa Monica for style and sophistication or Huntington Beach (AKA Surf City USA ) if you prefer a cool vibe. Laze in the sun, visit a spa or join a whale watching cruise or if you have children with you, you’re only 30 minutes from Anaheim and Disneyland.
