This Fly-Drive holiday explores some of Colorado’s most historic cities with stays at some its most luxurious hotels. You will visit Colorado Springs, Aspen, Vail and the marvellous city of Denver. With plenty of outdoor activities available throughout this trip, you will never be short of something to do! Frontier America would strongly recommend combining this holiday with the Rocky Mountaineer which travels between Denver and Moab in Utah.

Rockies To The Red Rocks
Following the phenomenal success of the Rocky Mountaineer in Canada, the train has now landed in Colorado and can be added to any holiday starting or ending in Denver.
The Rocky Mountaineer is a luxury train service that offers passengers a unique way to experience the American Southwest. The train travels through some of the most stunning scenery in the region, including the Rocky Mountains, the Colorado River, and the red rock canyons of Utah.
The American Rocky Mountaineer travels between from Denver, Colorado, and Moab, Utah. The rail journey takes two days with an overnight in Glenwood Springs plus two in Moab where we have included a tour of the Arches, but if you want something more exciting, we can organise an excursion for you by air, mountain bike, 4×4, light aircraft or jetboat
SilverLeaf passengers sit in a single level dome car with panoramic windows where delicious meals and snacks will be delivered to your seat. You will be kept entertained and informed by three onboard hosts and you can access the Outdoor viewing area. For a small supplement, you can buy SilverLeaf Plus which will give you access to the lounge car, signature cocktails and premium alcoholic drinks, as well as an elevated dining experience with wine pairings and an additional host.

Arrive at Denver International airport where you will collect your car for the 75-minute drive to Colorado Springs, and The Broadmoor Hotel.
Take the afternoon exploring the stunning hotel. Enjoy a dip in the infinity edged pool or wander the expansive hotel grounds before enjoying dinner at one of The Broadmoor’s six restaurants.
The Broadmoor is a delight for golfers. There are 3 championship courses across the resort so whatever your handicap there will be something for you. Other outdoor activities include fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. You could hop on a shuttle to visit the only mountain zoo in America, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Or take a trip to the famous waterfalls of Seven Falls where you can also enjoy dining at the stunning Restaurant 1859.
Take a morning trip on the Pikes Peak Cog Railways, the world’s most elevated cog train, to the summit of Pikes Peak. Then return to the hotel for an indulgent spa treatment at the five-star rated spa. You may also wish to visit the city park, the Garden of the Gods Park, the number two rated city park by TripAdvisor.

After leaving The Broadmoor, head over to their sister property The Ranch at Emerald Valley, which is just 30 minutes away. You can drive there yourself or organise a complimentary shuttle.
This ranch is situated in the Pike National Forest, a beautiful forest area in which you will stay in luxury but rustic cabins. There are many activities to enjoy at the ranch, including horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking. The best part is that being so close to The Broadmoor, if you missed out on the use of any of their facilities you can head back there to use them
The Ranch also offers ‘Fishing Camp’ as an optional extra where you can fly-fish to your hearts content, following the lead of the Ranch’s expert guides.

Take an evening stroll around the town and visit the famous cocktail bar ‘Frost’ or take in a performance at the spectacular outdoor Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre.
With plenty of outdoor adventures to choose from, pick your poison and go for it! Depart The Sebastian today and head for Denver. While in the city, Frontier America would recommend a visit to the pedestrian only 16th Street and the LoDo in Lower downtown for shopping and restaurants. Denver strongly supports Farm to Table cuisine, you will find interesting pavement cafes as well as fine dining. Get into the spirit of the West with a visit to the Buffalo Bill Museum, alternatively the Denver Art Museum or the powerful abstract art of Clyfford Still might appeal.
There is plenty of shopping available in Denver so take a visit to Laramie Square or Cherry Creek Shopping Center. For fans of musical theatre, Denver’s theatre district is renowned for putting on a good show.
Enjoy a morning bike ride around the city, one of the more enjoyable ways to see this incredible place. Having worked up an appetite visit some of Denver’s well-known breweries for a beer tasting and some delicious food from the on-site food trucks.
