Your flight will arrive at Los Angeles International, the City of Angels, from where you will be transferred to the hotel of your choice be it in Hollywood, Anaheim, Santa Monica or downtown. What you want to do and see in Los Angeles will determine where you would like to stay as it is such a sprawling city. As you will have plenty of beach time later in the holiday, we suggest you stay in Hollywood or downtown Los Angeles unless you want to spend your time at the theme parks in which case Anaheim would be a better choice.
Describing Los Angeles is like trying to capture a kaleidoscope in a single snapshot. It’s a city of contrasts, a rambling metropolis where Hollywood glitz rubs shoulders with gritty street art, sun-kissed beaches meet towering skyscrapers, and diverse cultures blend like spices in a simmering pot. Hollywood may be the dream factory, but L.A. is a city of doers. Aspiring actors hustle for their big break, musicians jam in dimly lit bars, and tech geniuses code the future in sleek co-working spaces. Forget tacos and burgers (although they’re delicious too!). L.A. is a foodie paradise, bursting with flavours from around the globe. Korean BBQ sizzles in Koreatown, Ethiopian stews simmer in Little Ethiopia and Michelin-starred restaurants offer exquisite tasting menus. Your taste buds will thank you wherever you choose to take them.
Don’t believe everything you see in the movies. L.A. is a diverse city with vibrant neighbourhoods, each with its own story to tell. Explore graffiti-filled alleys in Venice Beach, discover hidden taco trucks in East L.A., and wander through world-class museums in downtown. You’ll discover a city that’s more than just Hollywood hype. Kauai is Hawaii’s fourth largest island and is sometimes called the ‘Garden Island’; which is an entirely accurate description. The oldest and northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain is draped in emerald valleys, sharp mountain spires and jagged cliffs aged by time and the elements. Centuries of growth have formed tropical rainforests, forking rivers and cascading waterfalls! Some parts of Kauai are only accessible by sea or air, revealing unimaginable views. More than just dramatic beauty, the island is home to a variety of outdoor activities. You can kayak the Wailua River, snorkel on Poʻipū Beach, hike the trails of Kōkeʻe State Park, or go ziplining above Kauai’s lush valleys. But it is the island’s laid-back atmosphere and rich culture found in its small towns that make it truly worth your time. Princeville Botanical Gardens are well worth a visit, as is Princeville itself, an area you may recognize from many a Hollywood film.

Your holiday continues today as you fly the 40-minutes across to Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, spending the next 4 nights of your Hawaii holiday enjoying a more modern and vibrant side to Hawaii. Most guests choose to stay on Waikiki Beach among the bars, restaurants and evening entertainment that makes Waikiki so famous but if you prefer something a little quieter opt for the Marina area, Diamond Head or Ko’Olina, all are in close proximity giving you the opportunity to take in all the sights that Oahu has to offer.
