Your holiday will include a 48-hour San Francisco City Sightseeing tour including admission to the notorious prison island of Alcatraz. During your stay, you might like to walk across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, sail under its majestic shadow, and marvel at breath taking cityscapes from its lofty towers. You could also ask us to organise a day trip to the famous Yosemite National Park or to sample some of California’s renowned wines on a Napa and Sonoma Wine Country Tour.
Back in San Francisco, enjoy foodie paradise: From Michelin-starred feasts to vibrant Chinatown dim sum, San Francisco’s culinary scene is a global smorgasbord. Dig into sourdough bread, slurp up clam chowder on Fisherman’s Wharf, and indulge in handcrafted chocolates or an Anchor Steam Beer. America’s first craft brewery was founded here in 1896.
Soak up the historic hippie vibe of Haight-Ashbury, the Italian neighbourhood of North Beach, discover hidden murals in Clarion Alley or if you don’t want to walk across the Golden Gate bridge (and it is 1 ½ miles) take the ferry across to Sausalito. The city of Sausalito offers the charm of a quaint Mediterranean seaside village tucked amongst the hills of Marin County. Meander its narrow streets, browse through art galleries and shops, and dine at some of the best restaurants in the Bay Area, all the while enjoying stunning views of San Francisco.

In just under 6 hours, your direct flight will whisk you from the glories of San Francisco to an entirely different landscape. You will arrive at Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’i, the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain, but it’s remarkable for more than just its size. The island of adventure hiking through volcanic fields, peering into the fiery depths of Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Visit Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau, a National Historic Park that was once a place of refuge. In times past, those who broke the sacred laws, the kapu, would have been punished by death. The only chance of survival was to reach the Puʻuhonua, where the kapu breaker was protected. Apparently, no physical harm could come to those who reached the sanctuary as it was protected by Lono, the God of Life.
However, as well as all this adventure, the island boasts some glorious beaches, one of the best is the Mauna Kea Beach, a white sandy beach. Most of the West Coast has white sand, but elsewhere on the island you will find the black sand common where there is lots of volcanic activity. You can join Body Glove for some guided snorkelling among vibrant coral reefs with a good chance of seeing dolphins and manta rays and from December to March the migrating humpback whales as well. And when the sun has set, marvel at the Milky Way’s dazzling display amidst the vast Pacific Ocean. Spot constellations, shooting stars and maybe even a glimpse of the Milky Way’s core.

A short flight will take you from the peace of Hawai’i to Honolulu, the State Capital and the vibrant Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu. Enjoy the surf, the bars, restaurants and excellent night life of this lively town. But even though Waikiki is buzzing, there are still plenty of natural wonders to explore around the island if you can tear yourself away from the beach. Trek through lush rainforests, discover hidden waterfalls cascading into pristine pools and witness the grandeur of Diamond Head Crater or take a day trip to visit Pearl Harbour.
Sway to the rhythm of hula dancers, and savour traditional Hawaiian cuisine like poke bowls and kalua pig. Aloha spirit permeates every corner. Dive into Kalakaua Avenue, a shopper’s paradise brimming with luxury brands, local finds and vibrant art galleries.
